Altogether, it supplies you with an office environment without the necessity of everyone working on the same project, to each his/her own, but together. Those spaces are now becoming common around the world”

Psychologist Susan Pinker states that direct person-to-person contact triggers parts of our nervous system that release a “cocktail” of neurotransmitters tasked with regulating our response to stress and anxiety.
Put simply, when we communicate with people face-to-face, it could strengthen our resilience to stress factors as well as making us feel better.
She adds that, as a result of social interaction, “dopamine is [also] generated, which gives us a little high and it kills pain, it’s like a naturally produced morphine.”
When you work at one of our locations, if you’re not renting a private office (or choosing not to use it that day) you’ll have the option to work at a table full of fellow coworkers, or you can find yourself a nice quiet corner not far away from all the fun — but distant enough that you can focus on your work. But just getting up to grab a cup of coffee can yield a new friendship or even a networking opportunity!

Let’s face it: we all hit walls. And often we find ourselves with questions specific to highly specialized fields. But thankfully working at Gather means that you are working around a collective knowledge great enough to answer just about any question. Maybe all you need to do is ask somebody working in the same room as you, or even at the same table! Or, only slightly more difficult, ask your location’s Community Manager for their professional opinion on who you can reach out to, and then you can hop on Slack and shoot them a direct message. That’s what you call crowd-sourcing knowledge!
